Abstract submission

Abstract submission is now closed.

We have received 119 abstracts from 27 countries - representing 5 continents!!!

Timeline

The decision on acceptance/rejection and assigned presentation type will be communicated to the authors in the middle of March 2020.

The full papers (both scientific and short technical) must be submitted by 15th May 2020 and the peer-review process will start directly afterwards. The template and further instructions will be provided.

The final version of the papers (with corrections according to the received comments) must be submitted by 16th October 2020.

All presenters must register (and pay the fee) as the conference participants.

Submission types

Two options are possible:

Scientific paper. A paper is expected to have a clear research question and use scientific methods to answer it. Scientific papers will go through the peer-review process done by the ICSC Scientific Committee. A selection of papers will be recommended for submission to a special issue of 'Accident Analysis & Prevention' journal.

Short technical paper. A technical paper is expected to describe practical results from projects or initiatives related to the conference topics. The length of a short paper is limited to 6 pages. The technical papers will be reviewed, too.

Presentation formats

The conference contributions can be presented orally or as a poster. You have indicated your preferred way of the presentation during the abstract submission. However, the final decision will be taken by the organizers based on the abstract review results, total number of submissions and time slots available.

Whether a submission goes for oral or poster presentation will be communicated together with the abstract acceptance decision. Oral presentation requires submission of a full paper (this goes for both scientific and short technical papers). For poster presentations, submission of a full paper is recommended, but not required.

Full scientific papers will be considered for recommendation to the special issue regardless to whether they were presented orally or as a poster.
